What is KAP?

Updated: Sep 26

KAP stands for: Kundalini Activation Process and is a company/brand/school that trains facilitators to conduct Kundalini Activation sessions in groups and individually.

The school is run by Venant Wong and a few trainers appointed by him.

Because KAP as a brand has gained tremendous visibility in recent years, reaching a growing audience with Kundalini Activations, confusion arises quite often and people tend to call the Activation work KAP. Even if it is not linked to the brand.

Many schools, the same work

There are (now) many energetic schools and movements that train facilitators to give Kundalini / Life force/ Energetic Activations.

Most of these schools/ brands are much like and even completely similar in form to KAP, but called differently.

Most often they are they are run by former KAP students or KAP enthusiasts who start their own company and call it different again.

The form of the work is also broadly the same:

  • You lie down on your mat (in a group or private sessions)

  • music is played

  • A facilitator walks around and interacts with the energy, sometimes by touching you

Some call it Kundalini activations, but these terms are also used regularly:

Life Force Activations, Kundalini Awakening, Kundalini Transmissions, Multi-Dimensional Energy Transmissions, Energy transmissions.

The form and effect of this work done under different names is, especially in the early stages of the process, often more or less the same. But there is indeed much difference in depth, grounding, stability, and quality. Read more about it in this article

The origin of the work is NOT with KAP

Despite the familiarity of the KAP name, the origin of this work form is NOT with Venant Wong and KAP. Wong himself learned the work, the form (groups, music, energetic movement, touch) and how to interact with the energetic field from Pi Villaraza and his Energetic school; Innerdance.

Pi & Innerdance in a brief overview

After Pi lived all alone on island for 2 years to experience his own deepest relationship with life, he had a spontaneous (what we now call) kundalini/ energetic activation experience. An experience as we now know in sessions, but without form, without facilitator. Purely just him and LIFE ENERGY.

After this experience and everything he could see and experience because of it, he started looking for ways to

share this potent energy and energetic experience with others. Gradually the form of working with music and touch in a group setting emerged.

The people who experienced the energy with him described it as an Innerdance and so the name came about.

18 years of Innerdance studies

In the 18 years since that experience on the island, Pi has done a lot of research with the work and has come to merge knowledge with experience. For example, mapping what happens neurologically and hormonally during sessions. Connecting with deep Eastern philosophy and knowledge transfer and exploring what effects the music and other sensory inputs used have on the experiences in sessions and the awakening processes that follow.

The deeper and additional knowledge is NOT included in education or sessions in variations of the work and at schools like KAP and what comes out of that.

The average facilitator training with schools such as or inspired by KAP consists of 5 days of mostly being in the experience with the intention of ever deeper surrender without too much theory, philosophy or other cognitive input.

My experience the work and with KAP

I myself have been trained at various Energetic schools:

2022: KAP level 1

2022: Kundalini Bodywork Level1, by Elliott Saxby

2023: Kundalini Bodywork Level2, by Elliott Saxby

2023: KAP level2

2024: Innerdance - ongoing

Note: Kundalini Bodywork by Elliott Saxby is a different kind of training and originates from different sources than most Activation schools.I highly recommend learning from Elliott.

I held my group sessions under the KAP label until March 2023. The trainings and the work gave me a lot. But at the same time, during the trainings I already had some firm concerns about the organization, the design of the trainings, the person leading it and part of the inner circle.

I started asking questions in the organization and among colleagues and got more and more confirmation from both sides of what I had already observed. The impurity led to a movement in March 2023, where, together with a big group of colleagues worldwide and together with some people from the heart of the organization, I distanced myself from the brand, the school and the name and the leader.

I still give Kundalini Activation sessions. And the energy has only become purer and more potent since breaking free....
